Christian Unity Events

For eighteen years, the Lower Bucks Center for Church and Community has been uniting Christians of different traditions and backgrounds. Virtually every one of our programs has been birthed through a process of coming together to pray, to share our concerns for our community, and to work together to respond to some of those concerns. 

Each year, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 18-25), the Lower Bucks Center encourages Christians and congregations to renewed commitment and prayer for the unity Our Lord Jesus Christ wills for his body the Church. We also sponsor at least one event during the Week of Prayer that brings Christians from many different faith traditions together for prayer, sharing, and fellowship. The January 2008 event, a combination Christian Unity Breakfast and Worship service, was hosted by the Bensalem United Methodist Church and attended by people from many congregations. 

Periodically, we also offer symposiums on theological issues and town meetings on issues like housing, homelessness, poverty and immigration.
